Here are my remarks from the hearing. You are welcome to excerpt/quote, provided you include my name when I do. The Senate Committee listened to 45 minutes of testimony in favor of, and then 45 minutes in opposition to the proposed constitutional amendment. The amendment failed to get past committee.
After days of gloom and rain, the Rainbow Families rally was met with with a glorious sunny day.
Beforehand, I made a few last minute revisions on my remarks.

Rainbow Families is organizing a kid-friendly rally on Monday to speak out against the proposed constitutional amendment that would remove all marriage-like rights and responsibilities from same-sex couples.
I will be speaking at Carleton College tonight. Despite the wording of the online press release, I will be giving a lecture, not reading from my book. Reception to follow hosted by the Q&A House. (That’s “Queers and Allies.”)
Tomorrow is my appearance at Intermedia Arts as part of SASE’s GLBT Reading Series. I will be sharing the stage with Jacqueline White, who will be reading from the perspective of being a partner of a transman.
