Coming out of the casket
An upcoming movie, “Death at a Funeral” offers this one-sentence plot description at IMDB:
Chaos ensues when a man tries to expose a dark secret regarding a recently deceased patriarch of a dysfunctional British family.
The June 2007 issue of OUT Magazine (p.90) provides more information to reveal a queerspawn angle:
It’s never easy to lose your father, but it’s even worse when the boyfriend you never knew he had shows up at the funeral and threatens to show in flagrante photos of himself and your daddy to your grieving mother.
And it’s categorized as a comedy. I have heard from perhaps a couple dozen people over the years who discovered their father was gay only after he died. I wonder what these sons and daughters will think about this comedic take on their family dynamic.
It sounds like a really stupid movie. On top of it all, the assumed lover has dwarfism!
