Great Reader Review on Amazon.com

There’s a wonderful new customer review of my book, Families Like Mine on Amazon.com.

Regardless of how you feel about online booksellers, there’s no denying that Amazon.com is where most people first go to research a book when they are considering purchasing it. I believe that reader reviews that are constructive and specific make all the difference to motivate a casually curious person to seriously consider a book.

The latest review is written by “J,” a grown daughter of gay dads.

Excerpt:

Too long had I lived without the knowledge contained within; each paragraph had me nearly shouting affirmations. It is far too easy to believe that you are alone, and the stories recorded here are a blessed reminder otherwise.

There is tremendous worth in the accessibility of these anecdotes, and they all reveal a vital part of the larger picture of our lives. It is often difficult to speak of these issues with friends or even family, but the freedom of these stories is infectious.

J has even more enthusiastic and reflective comments, all of which you can read in her full review here.

If you value Families Like Mine, please consider writing an online review to encourage others to read it as well. Make it as short or as long as you want.

It may be an “old” book by publishing industry standards, but too many people who would be interested in it don’t even know it exists. Yet.

Hey Abigail, just wanted to fly by and say a quick hi!!!! I never realized you had a blog. I can’t believe it is now about 10 years ago, when I sent you the email you ended up using for your book. A lot has happened, and a lot as changed since then. But life is good.

Glad to hear you are still going strong. THANK YOU!
