The new issue of Lavender Magazine has a story about the upcoming Rainbow Families Conference where I will be delivering the keynote.

Here’s where you go for information and registration. “Early Bird” registration rates are good until April 6.

So you are debating whether or not to come to conference. Maybe you have been before and are thinking “same-old, same-old”. Or maybe you have never been, and are thinking, “Is it really worth my time?”

Well, the staff is VERY excited about this year’s conference, and would like to tell you the Top Ten Reasons You Simply Should Not Skip Conference This Year!

#10 It is in April, a happy, bright month. (If you miss it being in February, just remember the 17 inch snowstorms.)

#9 You can get in cheap if you register by April 6. Click here to do that! Don’t forget, deadline for registering children and youth is April 6, 2007.

#8 T. Mychael Rambo, the dynamic MC with a gorgeous voice (need we say more?)

#7 Come and visit workshops where new parents need your suggestions and support. If you’ve been before, your kids are content in school, and you want to put down your crabgrass killer that day-save that until Sunday and come to conference.

#6 Educators from grades E-12 are coming to attend special workshops! YIPPEE!! Show them we appreciate their attending and learning by all of us turning out.

#5 Abigail Garner KNOWS what your kids are thinking, and will fill you in on it in her keynote speech: “We’re Here. We’re Queerspawn. Where Do We Belong?”

#4 The board of directors, the staff, and tons of volunteers, have poured their energy to make it a great day for you. They need the hugs.

#3 Where else can you use the word “queerspawn” and people know what you mean?

#2 We have a new source for lunches. Really! (And Ice Cream, and Dancing, at the end of the day.)
