This request came in from a producer who is looking for T-parented families:

The Discovery Channel is developing a series of documentaries about Families that will challenge the notion of the ‘traditional family’ in order to explore the many different set-ups that family forms can take today. We hope to look at this as widely as possible and our aim is to provide an insight into the lives of those people who are living in happy, functioning families - that just happen to have a different set-ups to societies expectations.

We are hoping to contact families both in the UK and the US where either one or both parents are transgendered/transsexual - whether this transition has happened in the past, present or future. We are ideally looking for parents of children aged under 20.

At this point I’m just looking to get in contact with people who are happy to share their stories for research purposes - but we will be looking for people who would consider taking part as well. I appreciate this is a very personal subject matter, and would like to reassure you that all contact is strictly confidential and does not commit you to the programme in any way.
