Every t-shirt a story. (1 of 5)

Among the items I donated to the Tretter Collection are some of my t-shirts. I posted earlier about the one I made in 1998 and the ones we had produced for a group of us.

As I pulled together my material for the archives, I found additional shirts that I thought would be better off in the company of a few hundred other LGBT t-shirts at the Tretter Collection.

Here’s a COLAGE shirt, 1998 or earlier:

I'm OK COLAGE t-shirt

This was before my time, but I heard secondhand that it went out of fashion because COLAGErs thought the “I’m OK” message was defensive, not empowering.

Leave a comment if you know more about the history of this shirt.

This was a Stefan creation. (the pie was a Felicia creation)
The aim was to create a character that wasnt gendered. But I always thought this person kind of looked like stefan back in the 90s
