Update on Advice to Blended Lesbian Family

While I am no longer writing new material for Answers from Abigail, the advice section continues to grow and deepen as people discover the blog and leave their opinions/reflections in the comment section.

Writing advice in response to a particular situation occurs at a moment that becomes frozen in time: a family eternally documented at the height of their crisis. Families continue to evolve after the crisis, but most of the time you are only left wondering what happened in the real-life family after the ink dried on the column.

This weekend, a lesbian parent who wrote me last winter sent me an update. She is honest about the mixed bag of successes and challenges. Some of the kids are adjusting just fine, others are uncomfortable and under influence of a homophobic ex-husband.

Go to the comment section of “Children resist lesbian mothers’ urge to merge” to read Kerry’s update. And, if you like, leave some comments of your own.
