Man + Woman = Baby. Happy now?
Rhetoric that attacks gay families refuses to entertain the possibility of competent gay parents, but obsesses over gender instead. “Gay parents deny their children the fundamental necessity to have both a mother and a father.” So goes the Right Wing drum beat.
Okay then, here’s a gay parenting arrangement that offers a mother and a father for their child. An openly gay dad and an openly lesbian mother. Biological mother and biological father living in one house. (Actually, this family structure is not new, but what’s notable about it is the father is Bevan Dufty, a San Francisco supervisor.)

Hmmm…sounds like it’s time for the Right Wing to revisit their anti-gay parenting talking points.

One of the men is the boy’s biological father, and the other will father a second child for the Vandenbergs. Yet another example to show how ridiculous it is to rule (as New York did) that children should be raised by a mother and a father. I’m sure this isn’t what the justices had in mind. Point is, children thrive in many different types of families, and to legislate that one is best flies in the face of current examples, history, and cultural variation. [...]
