Blog of the Day. Aw, Shucks.
I received an email this afternoon from a reader congratulating me for Damn Straight’s crowning as “Blog of the Day.” This was the first I had heard of it, but it only took a quick Technorati search to find out where the honor was coming from.
It turns out City Pages named Damn Straight “Minnesota Blog of the Day.”

Now that I have your attention: Please take time this week to call your state legislators and tell them to oppose the constitutional marriage amendment. It is a redundant, mean-spirited waste of State resources that does nothing to “protect” even one heterosexual family in Minnesota, and does everything legally and socially possible to penalize and humiliate gay-parented families.
Do you want discrimination to be Minnesota’s legacy? No? You and other fair-minded Minnesotans can connect with the effort to oppose the amendment at Together Minnesota.
