Because I know you Google yourself. (Part II)
A continuation of the acknowledgements added to the paperback edition of my book Families Like Mine.
Thanks to staff and volunteers at KFAI and the Fresh Fruit Collective for their support and understanding during my extended absences from the station. Thanks especially to my talented and reliable sound engineer, Ann McNally.
Part of the outreach for this book to target audiences was made possible through a grant from the Loft Literary Center. In my proposal I dared to ponder, “If I could?,” to which the Loft responded, “Now you can!” This grant is one of numerous ways the Loft has nurtured my path from emerging writer to published author over the past several years.
Melissa Etheridge made time to read this book and provide a wonderful endorsement. I am reminded how much I appreciate her kind words every time I see the front cover. I also owe my thanks to Rosie & Kelli O’Donnell and Gregg Kaminsky for bringing me along on the first R Family Vacation cruise to sign books and meet some wonderful families.
