Newsday on kids of gay parents
Today’s edition of Newsday quotes me in the article,
“Above the fray: Children of gay parents are trying to cope with the debate over legalizing same-sex marriage”
by Pat Burson
Excerpt:
“The people who are spewing the rhetoric forget,” [Abigail] Garner said. “Children in gay families have their antenna up in a way other people don’t when it comes to issues about gay people. It’s a sensitivity that these children have whether or not the rhetoric is directed at their family specifically.”
