Profile and Excerpts in Mpls. Strib.
The front page story of today’s Variety section in the Minneapolis StarTribune has the headline “Child Advocate.”
It is about my work and my book, and it includes quotes from some of the other “kids” in Families Like Mine.
Note the refreshing absence of a quote from an ultra-conservative “family values” organization saying something along the lines of how our families should not exist or preaching about the “best interests” of the children.
I already received my first “love note” from a reader who apparently disapproves. Donald writes: “Get real and not self serving. Guess you do not believe in God like so many other liberals. This is the downfall of our country.”
Uh-huh. Blame it all on “the gays” and “the liberals”….
Randy Miranda (the reporter who wrote the story) and StarTribune will likely get their share of flak for this article, so drop a quick note to them if you appreciate this respectful coverage.
