Research about Adult Sons of Gay Fathers
If you have ever reviewed research about kids of GLBT parents, you’ve probably noticed that the focus tends to pretty narrow. Conclusions are often about children of lesbian mothers or about how the kids “turned out,”
which typically refers to sexual orientation.
Orson Morrison is the adult son of a gay father and a doctoral student in clinical psychology. His research will compare and contrast the experiences of adult men (ages 18 and older) who were parented by a gay father.
About his research, Orson says, “It is my intention to chronicle the experiences and the process of ‘growing up,’ and developing into an adult man.”
The study will take approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Confidentiality is ensured and you will be free to end your participation at any point.
